About
Shamier Little must wish for a format like Grand Slam Track whenever she blows out the candles on her birthday cake – this was made for her! Three times an NCAA Champion while at Texas A&M in the 400 meter hurdles, the Racer with Chicago roots has always been able to oscillate between jumping and running flat.
Little has two World Championship silver medals in the hurdles, and two Olympic medals (including gold) from the relays in Paris. With an open 400m best of 49.68, it’s no wonder that she manages to consistently run in the 52s while jumping the past seven years.
It’s fun to root for dynamic athletes whose talent oozes out of every step they take, but another reason to cheer on Shamier Little – she might be the funniest athlete on the circuit. That’s not why she is joining Grand Slam Track, it’s because her speed is no joke.
